SJC Partners Limited is seeking a Private Client Solicitor (2–5 years PQE) to join its Private Client team in Hull. The role offers a flexible pathway with either full-time or part-time hours and a competitive benefits package.

The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload, draft Wills and LPAs, manage estates and trusts, and engage in business development to support department growth in a collaborative, client‑focussed practice.

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 DOE

What will you be doing?

• Managing your own caseload of Private Client matters from instruction through to completion.
• Drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Trusts.
• Dealing with Estate and Trust Administration.
• Handling Court of Protection matters.
• Advising clients on Inheritance Tax planning.
• Assisting clients with Business Succession Planning.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Working closely with colleagues across the Private Client team.
• Getting involved in business development, networking and helping to grow the department.

What are we looking for?

• A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with ideally 2-5 years' PQE.
• Experience across a broad range of Private Client matters.
• Confidence managing your own caseload independently.
• Strong technical knowledge of Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Administration.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• A proactive, personable and professional approach.
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is keen to contribute to the continued development of the department.
• An interest in business development and networking would be advantageous.
