• Experience in Wills, Probate, LPAs and Estate Administration
• Familiar with Trusts, Inheritance Tax and estate planning
• Confident managing a caseload and communicating with clients
• Strong drafting and organisational skills
• Commitment to client care and a collaborative, local firm environment

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied Private Client caseload from instruction to completion
• Draft Wills, including complex and tailored arrangements
• Prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
• Administer Probate and Estate Administration
• Advise on Inheritance Tax and estate planning
• Advise on Trusts and succession planning
• Build long-term relationships with private clients and families
• Support business development and grow the Private Client department

The firm is now looking to appoint aPrivate Client Solicitor/Legal Executiveto join its friendly and establishedWills, Trusts & Estates team.

This is an excellent opportunity for aNewly Qualified Solicitor through to an experienced Private Client Lawyerwho wants a varied caseload, direct client contact and the opportunity to develop their career within a supportive local firm.

The Role

You will manage a variedPrivate Client caseload, advising clients throughout the full lifecycle of the firm’s estate planning and administration needs.

Your work will include:

• DraftingWills, including more complex and tailored arrangements
• PreparingLasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
• ManagingProbate and Estate Administrationfrom initial instruction through to completion
• Advising onInheritance Tax (IHT)and estate planning
• Advising onTrustsand succession planning
• Supporting elderly and vulnerable clients with sensitivity and professionalism
• Building strong, long-term relationships with private clients and their families
• Identifying opportunities forbusiness development, networking and referrals
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the continued growth of the Private Client department

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who are:

• AQualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX)
• Newly Qualified with relevant Private Client training experience, or have previous PQE in Private Client law
• Experienced inWills, Probate, LPAs and Estate Administration
• Ideally familiar withTrusts, Inheritance Tax and estate planning
• Confident managing a caseload and dealing directly with clients
• Highly organised with excellent drafting and attention to detail
• A strong communicator with a genuine commitment toclient care
• Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a small, supportive team
• Interested in developing their career and client relationships within a well-established local practice

STEP qualification or a willingness to work towards STEP would be advantageous but is not essential.
