Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join a well-established Yorkshire law firm in Leeds, West Yorkshire, working from the firm's Horsforth or Wetherby office with attendance at the Dewsbury office each Tuesday. This is a permanent role with a negotiable salary up to £55,000 depending on experience. The role is permanent and full time, with benefits including 26 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, an additional day off for your birthday, paid Christmas closure, life insurance cover at two times salary, access to mental health first aiders and support, and discretionary sick pay of up to six weeks after 12 months' service.

Role Responsibilities

You will join an established Private Client team and take responsibility for a varied caseload of allocated private client matters, providing a high standard of service and progressing work efficiently. Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing allocated private client matters in accordance with the firm's procedures and quality standards
• Progressing matters efficiently while keeping clients regularly informed on progress and costs
• Achieving agreed billing and time-recording expectations
• Taking responsibility for credit control on your own matters in liaison with the finance team
• Ensuring compliance with relevant professional, regulatory and organisational requirements
• Maintaining clear and effective communication with colleagues and external organisations
• Contributing to networking, marketing and wider business-development activity
• Undertaking relevant training and maintaining responsibility for your own professional development

Person Specification

This Private Client Solicitor job in Leeds, West Yorkshire would suit an experienced solicitor or appropriately qualified fee earner who is confident managing client matters with a high level of personal responsibility. Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate the following:

• At least 3 years' PQE in Private Client law
• A relevant legal qualification and sufficient experience to manage a private client caseload effectively – essential
• Strong client-care skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and sensitively with clients throughout their matters
• A thorough and organised approach to file management, time recording and billing responsibilitiesGood working knowledge of professional conduct, confidentiality and legal compliance requirements
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with colleagues and external contacts
• A willingness to contribute to networking, marketing and the continued development of the Private Client team
• The ability to work from the Horsforth or Wetherby office and attend the Dewsbury office each Tuesday
