About Our Client

Our clients are a growing, Gloucestershire-based legal practice, with offices in Stroud and Gloucester. The business has been providing legal services to the people of Gloucestershire for over 260 years. They specialise in a wide range of personal and commercial law.

Role Overview:

This is an established role within the Private Client department. Our client seeks a candidate with a proven background and enthusiasm for Private Client work, including preparation of wills, estate administration, tax planning, and powers of attorney. This role offers opportunities to develop skills and contribute to a forward-thinking, expanding firm. The position also involves participation in marketing, article drafting, PR, business development, social media, and networking activities.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Senior Solicitor / Associate Solicitor with at least 4-5 years PQE
  • STEP or SFE qualification preferred but not essential
  • Understanding of will preparation, including asset protection and tax mitigation
  • Knowledge of inheritance, capital gains, and income tax principles in estate planning
  • Knowledge of trusts, estate administration, and deeds of variation
  • Experience with Lasting Powers of Attorney and advising elderly clients
  • Organised, efficient, and able to manage workload effectively
  • Enthusiastic with a good balance of technical skill and commercial awareness
  • Ambitious, dynamic, with excellent communication skills
