Job summary

TC Young LLP is seeking a driven Solicitor (ideally 2yr+ PQE) to join the Adults with Incapacity team within the Private Client department. The role will be based in our Glasgow office, offering a varied workload focused on guardianship applications and complex Adults with Incapacity matters.

You will also work on Wills, Powers of Attorney, and executry administration with significant client contact and court exposure. The firm emphasises progression, training, and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Adults with Incapacity work, particularly guardianship applications.
• Background in Private Client work including wills, Powers of Attorney and executry administration.

Job description

We are looking for a driven Solicitor (ideally 2yr+ PQE) to join our busy Adults with Incapacity team within our Private Client department. The role will be based in our Glasgow office.

The individual will enjoy an interesting, wide and varied mix of legal work, primarily focussing on guardianship applications and complex Adults with Incapacity matters, but also preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, and estate administration, with significant client contact and court exposure. This role provides a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking for the next step in their career. What we are looking for ….

• Experience in Adults with Incapacity work, in particular guardianship applications, is essential, but the successful candidate will also ideally have a strong background in Private Client work, including preparation of Wills, Powers of Attorney and executry administration
• Strong research skills and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills – written & oral
• Ability to handle competing priorities and deadlines to effectively manage case load
• Individuals who understand the need to balance working independently and when to seek appropriate guidance
