West Midlands Law Firm is recruiting a Senior Private Client Solicitor to join its Birmingham team. You will handle a varied private client caseload advising individuals and families on wills, probate, LPAs, trusts and estate planning, with a focus on client service and business development.

The successful candidate will typically have 6-7 years' PQE in private client law, strong technical knowledge, and a proactive, collaborative approach to team working.

Qualifications

• Approximately 6-7 years' PQE in Private Client law.
• Broad experience across all areas of private client work.
• STEP qualification preferred but not essential.
• Excellent technical knowledge and client care skills.

Senior Private Client Solicitor Opportunity – Birmingham

A well-established and highly respected West Midlands Law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor or Senior Associate to join its thriving Private Client team based in Solihull or Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Solicitor with approximately 6-7 years' PQE who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive, forward-thinking firm. There is genuine scope for career progression, including the potential to move into a future leadership position for the right individual.

The Team

You will join one of the firm's largest departments, comprising approximately 25 team members, including three Partners. The department has an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality legal advice and offers a collaborative and supportive working environment. Fee earners benefit from dedicated legal secretarial support within the Private Client department, with additional assistance available from a centralised support team during busy periods.

The Role

You will manage a varied and high-quality private client caseload, advising individuals and families across a broad range of matters, including:

• Wills and estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Trusts
• Inheritance tax and succession planning
• Court of Protection matters
• Lifetime planning and wealth preservation

Alongside fee-earning responsibilities, the successful candidate will work closely with senior colleagues to support the continued growth and development of the department through excellent client service, business development and mentoring where appropriate.

Candidate Requirements

• Approximately 6-7 years' PQE in Private Client law

• STEP qualification (preferred but not essential)
