The Role
- Established position within the Private Client Department.
- Proven background and enthusiasm for Private Client work, including:
- Preparation of Wills
- Administration of Estates for business and private clients
- Lifetime and Post-Death Tax Planning
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection Orders
- An excellent opportunity to gain skills and experience and contribute to the development of a long-established, forward-thinking, and expanding firm.
- The role will also involve participation in marketing, article drafting, PR, business development, social media, and networking activities as appropriate.
Your Experience & Technical Ability
- Qualified Senior Solicitor / Associate Solicitor with at least 4-5 years PQE.
- The STEP or SFE qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Understanding of Wills preparation, including asset protection and tax mitigation measures.
- Knowledge of inheritance, capital gains, and income tax principles in estate planning.
- Experience with trusts formation, administration, and taxation; estate administration; deeds of variation.
- Preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney; advising elderly clients.
- Ability to learn and manage workload efficiently, meeting clients' requirements.
- Excellent written communication skills, with correct grammar and plain English.
- Enthusiastic, willing, and a strong team player with a good balance of technical and commercial skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; IT proficiency.
