Job summary

Realm Recruit in Oxford is seeking a Private Client Senior Associate or Associate Partner to join a Private Client team handling high-value matters. You will advise high-net-worth clients and work with expert tax and trust specialists in a collaborative, employee-owned boutique firm.

The role offers hybrid working, realistic progression towards Partnership, and a culture focused on merit and personal development. STEP/CTA support is available to pursue qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experienced Private Client solicitor with strong technical expertise.
• Solid experience of trusts and private client tax matters.
• Understanding of inheritance tax, lifetime gifting and estate planning.
• Knowledge of capital gains tax and income tax considerations.
• Experience advising high-net-worth clients.
• Excellent client care, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ideally 5+ years’ PQE.
• Experience mentoring junior colleagues.
• STEP or CTA qualification, or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Advising high-net-worth clients on Private Wealth matters.
• Handling complex trusts and tax planning work.
• Advising on inheritance tax and lifetime gifting.
• Supporting succession and estate planning strategies.
• Considering CGT and income tax implications.
• Working alongside specialist tax and trust colleagues.
• Managing sophisticated client relationships.
• Delivering exceptional client care.
• Contributing to shared team targets.
• Developing a technical specialism if desired.
• Mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate.
• Supporting the wider firm's collaborative culture.
