Job summary

Headhunter Legal & Professional Ltd in London is seeking an experienced Private Client Partner to lead the Private Client Department. The role requires substantial private client experience, leadership, and a proven client following.

The firm offers a collaborative platform, international network access, and a hybrid working model (3 days in office, 2 days remote). STEP qualification and broad tax planning expertise are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with extensive private client experience.
• STEP qualified with Full Membership (TEP).
• Established client following and senior leadership experience.
• Strong business development and cross-border estate planning skills.
• Experience with Wills, Probate, Trusts, Estate Administration and tax planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of Private Client matters including Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Administration.
• Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on estate planning, wealth preservation and succession matters.
• Handle complex estate administration, including international and cross-border estates.
• Advise on Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) planning.
• Draft Wills, Trust Deeds and other complex estate planning documentation.
• Lead on Court of Protection matters and related applications.
• Supervise and mentor junior solicitors and team members.
• Develop and maintain an established client portfolio with cross-department referrals.
