Henderson Scott Limited, a well-regarded high street law firm, invites applications for a Private Client Fee Earner in Stockbridge. The role offers a varied caseload across Wills, Probate, Trusts and Power of Attorney with hybrid working and flexible office location.

You will advise high-net-worth and business clients, draft documents, and build lasting client relationships. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Private Client Fee Earner.
• 5+ PQE or strong relevant experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Administration.
• Experience with high-net-worth or business clients advantageous.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently with excellent client care.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own varied Private Client caseload including Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Administration.
• Draft Wills and other legal documents; provide clear, practical advice.
• Meet clients in person or remotely and maintain strong client relationships.
• Liaise with HMRC, banks, advisers and other professionals; maintain compliant records.
• Assist with marketing and development activities for Private Client department.

Job description

A well-established and highly regarded high street law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Fee Earner to join its team in Stockbridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Private Client professional to take on a varied caseload within a supportive and well-established team, with flexibility around office location and hybrid working.

The Role

You will manage your own varied Private Client caseload, including:

• Wills and estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Trusts
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Advising clients on a range of Private Client matters
• Acting for high-net-worth individuals and business clients where appropriate

You will be responsible for providing clear, practical advice and maintaining strong client relationships throughout.

You will also:

• Conduct client meetings both in person and remotely
• Draft Wills, legal documents and correspondence
• Liaise with HMRC, banks, financial advisers and other professional contacts
• Maintain accurate and compliant client records
• Contribute to the continued development of the Private Client departmentAssist with marketing and business development activities where appropriate

About You

• Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Private Client Fee Earner
• 5+ PQE, although applications from candidates with strong relevant experience will be considered
• Strong technical knowledge across Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Administration
• Experience dealing with high-net-worth and/or business clients would be advantageous
• Confident managing a busy caseload independently
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to developing client relationships
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
