Job summary

Grant Thornton in Milton Keynes or Manchester is seeking an experienced Tax Executive within Private Assurance. You will own the tax return process for a portfolio of ultra-high net worth clients, preparing returns and engaging with HMRC directly and with clients.

You will work with autonomy, supported by your manager, and benefit from structured learning opportunities while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK Personal Tax is required.
• A-Levels (or equivalent) and good Maths/English GCSE grades.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of private tax clients and handle complex personal tax returns.
• Own the tax return process from start to finish with guidance from a manager.
• Prepare tax returns and computations for manager review.
• Engage with clients and HMRC to build trusted relationships.
• Drive timely completion and manage deadlines and work in progress.
