Grant Thornton is hiring an Experienced Tax Technician in Milton Keynes or Manchester to manage private client tax work and deliver complete tax returns with managerial guidance. You’ll interact directly with clients and HMRC, applying tax knowledge, performing well-supported research, and ensuring timely communications.

Qualifications

• UK Personal Tax experience or exposure to private client work.
• ATT qualification (or working towards) with study support available.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and organised work habits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of complex private tax clients, delivering tax returns and computations from start to finish.
• Research and apply relevant tax guidance and HMRC manuals to prepare opinions.
• Engage with clients and HMRC, providing timely, accurate communication.
• Drive the tax return process, manage deadlines, and prioritise day-to-day tasks.
