We’re working with a nationally recognised non-profit organisation that’s hiring a Data Protection Manager to lead on all things data compliance. If you’re passionate about privacy and ready to shape the data protection landscape of a purposeful organisation, this could be the perfect next step.

You’ll be the go-to expert on data protection, overseeing compliance with UK GDPR and DPA 2018, advising on risk, and ensuring the organisation’s policies, procedures, and practices remain top-tier.

As the Data Protection Manager, you will:

  • Own and maintain organisation-wide data protection policies and frameworks
  • Provide expert advice on individual rights, breaches, sharing, and DPIAs
  • Lead internal audits and ensure cross-team collaboration on data compliance
  • Deliver engaging training and awareness programmes to promote a privacy-first culture
  • Monitor evolving legislation, case law, and industry best practice
  • Support new and ongoing projects with strong data protection governance
  • Partner with IT and Legal to drive risk mitigation and continuous improvement

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years’ experience applying data protection laws in complex environments
  • In-depth understanding of UK GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR and related compliance frameworks
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisation-wide accountability
  • Strong communication and policy-writing skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Relevant qualifications (CIPP/E or similar strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with privacy tools, DPIAs, and internal audit practices
  • Previous experience in the education, non-profit or public sector is a plus
