Job summary

Change Grow Live is recruiting a Support Worker to join the Southwest Prisons service, delivering psychosocial interventions to service users across HMP Erlestoke. The role requires assessing and engaging with service users to ensure they access the right intervention at the right time, with potential evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Based at HMP Erlestoke, you will work 37.5 hours per week on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with pro rata treatment for part-time roles and a focus on

Qualifications

• Has a strong understanding of substance misuse issues
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) with good IT skills
• Proactive with strong time management and prioritisation

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey
• Deliver psychosocial interventions as part of the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service within the prison estate
• Work in partnership with other healthcare providers as part of an Integrated Health and Wellbeing model
• Advocate on behalf of service users who are unwilling or unable to engage in treatment
• Proactively follow up with service users that miss appointments to increase engagement
• Contribute to risk management processes, including prison ACCT where appropriate
• Help service users to achieve social reintegration and lead meaningful lives
