Job summary

Change Grow Live is recruiting Recovery Coordinators to deliver psychosocial interventions in HMP Exeter as part of the Southwest Prisons service. You’ll assess, engage and support service users to access interventions at the right time, contributing to a holistic Integrated Health and Wellbeing model across the prison estate.

The role suits those with substance misuse experience, strong communication, and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse and prison/criminal justice contexts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive with strong time management and prioritisation.
• Team player with interpersonal skills and stakeholder collaboration.
• Knowledge of information governance and safeguarding.
• Willing to learn and develop professionally.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service through treatment/recovery.
• Deliver psychosocial interventions within the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service in the prison estate.
• Work with other healthcare providers within an Integrated Health and Wellbeing model.
• Advocate for service users who are unwilling or unable to engage in treatment.
• Proactively follow up with service users who miss appointments to improve engagement.
• Contribute to risk management processes, including prison ACCT where appropriate.
• Support social reintegration and promote recovery, resilience and self-determination.
