Job summary

Change Grow Live in the Southwest Prisons service is recruiting a Support Worker to deliver psychosocial interventions to service users across HMP Erlestoke. You will assess and engage with service users to ensure they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

This role may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to support recovery, resilience and social reintegration, while upholding information

Qualifications

• Experience with substance misuse, preferably in prison/criminal justice.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritise own workload.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and best practices.
• Ability to work with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.
• Commitment to information governance and safeguarding.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to staff development.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service through recovery.
• Deliver psychosocial interventions as part of the Recovery Service in the prison estate.
• Work with healthcare providers as part of an Integrated Health and Wellbeing model.
• Advocate for service users to engage in treatment.
• Proactively follow up with service users who miss appointments.
• Contribute to risk management processes including ACCT where appropriate.
• Support social reintegration and life recovery goals.
