Job summary

The Ministry of Justice invites applications for Prison Offender Manager to lead the management of low to medium risk prisoners and develop their sentence plans. You will build professional relationships, assess risk, and coordinate with partners to reduce reoffending.

This non-operational, rotational role involves prisoner-facing duties, ACCT/PNOMIS activities, and collaboration with probation officers and external agencies to ensure effective delivery of plans.

Qualifications

• Experience handling a diverse range of offenders with discretion.
• Understanding of risk management and impact on victims.
• Knowledge of case management in criminal justice settings.
• Familiarity with criminal justice processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Undertake offender management tasks for low to medium risk cases.
• Support probation officers in case management of high risk prisoners.
• Lead sentence planning meetings and prepare/ review plans.
• Coordinate sentence plans with prisoners and agencies.
• Encourage participation in education, interventions and workshops.
• Prepare professional reports for criminal justice partners.
