Job summary

Ministry of Justice in the United Kingdom seeks a Prison Offender Manager to lead offender management for low to medium risk prisoners, preparing and reviewing sentence plans and building supportive relationships to reduce re-offending.

This is a non-operational, rotational role with hybrid working. You will support probation officers in high‑risk cases, contribute to ACCT, OASys and MAPPA, and draft professional reports for partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in offender management tasks for low-to-medium risk cases.
• Selection and training for Prison Offender Manager role.
• Ability to work with ACCT, MAPPA and related processes.
• Strong written reporting to criminal justice partners and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Undertake the full range of offender management tasks with low to medium risk cases.
• Support probation officers in the case management of high risk prisoners when required.
• Lead sentence planning meetings and coordinate activities within the sentence plan.
• Use OASys to identify risks and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Prepare documentation for managers for verification and quality checks.
• Maintain up-to-date records in PNOMIS and other IT systems.
• Liaise with external agencies to support victim protection and reduce reoffending.
