Job summary

Serco Limited is seeking a Prison Offender Manager at HMP Fosse Way, Leicestershire. You will support offenders through custodial pathways, coordinating interventions and documenting progress to reduce reoffending.

The role requires strong communication, organisational skills and experience in administrative environments. Eligibility includes an Enhanced DBS and a commitment to rehabilitation and safer communities.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a busy administrative or operational environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Able to manage competing priorities, work to deadlines and maintain accuracy in a regulated environment.
  • Understanding of offender management or previous experience working with offenders would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, guidance and support to offenders throughout their sentence, helping them work towards agreed objectives.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with offenders, Community Offender Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate access to interventions, activities and programmes identified within sentence plans.
  • Complete assessments, reports and risk management documentation accurately and within required timescales.
  • Prepare for and attend multidisciplinary reviews, parole hearings and case discussions as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to create impactful solutions that support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.

Prison Offender Manager

Location: HMP Fosse Way, Leicestershire, LE18 4TN
Salary: Starting at £30,750 up to £33,000 on successful completion of probation period, and holding caseload.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday -Friday 8am -4.30pm, flexibility to meet the needs of the business.

As a Prison Offender Manager within our Justice and Immigration team, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals throughout their custodial journey. Working closely with offenders, colleagues and external agencies, you'll help people engage with rehabilitation programmes, achieve sentence plan objectives and take positive steps towards a successful future.

Vetting and checks:

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
