Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, guidance and support to offenders throughout their sentence, helping them work towards agreed objectives.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with offenders, Community Offender Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate access to interventions, activities and programmes identified within sentence plans.
  • Complete assessments, reports and risk management documentation accurately and within required timescales.
  • Prepare for and attend multidisciplinary reviews, parole hearings and case discussions as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to create impactful solutions that support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.

Location: HMP Dovegate, Staffordshire, ST14 8XR

Salary: £33,262

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday -Friday 8am -4.30pm, flexibility to meet the needs of the business.

As a Prison Offender Manager within our Justice and Immigration team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals throughout their custodial journey. Working closely with offenders, colleagues and external agencies, you’ll help people engage with rehabilitation programmes, achieve sentence plan objectives and take positive steps towards a successful future.

What You’ll Do As a Prison Offender Manager
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to offenders throughout their sentence, helping them work towards agreed objectives.

  • Understanding of offender management or previous experience working with offenders would be advantageous.

Vetting And Checks

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
