Job summary

Government of The United Kingdom is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to support clinical duties in a custodial setting. You will assist with ECGs, phlebotomy, wound care and routine measurements under the supervision of a registered nurse or clinician.

You will also engage in patient health promotion, maintain clean and stocked treatment rooms, and help with documentation using SystmOne, ensuring confidentiality and security of records.

Qualifications

• Clinical duties in a custodial setting with emphasis on patient safety.
• Experience with ECG, phlebotomy and wound care preferred.
• Competence in monitoring glucose and vital signs, using NEWS2 scoring.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ECGs, venipuncture and basic wound care under supervision.
• Assist with patient measurements, weight, and health data collection.
• Support registered healthcare professionals and document care plans.
• Maintain clinical areas, stock, and cleanliness in line with policies.
• Use SystmOne to document care contemporaneously and securely.
