The Forward Trust is hiring a Recovery Worker for HMP Wormwood Scrubs in Shepherd's Bush. You will join an integrated healthcare team, delivering psychosocial support to adults 18+, with a focus on recovery through tailored interventions and evidence-based approaches.

You will manage caseloads, conduct assessments, and deliver both 1:1 and group sessions, while working with housing, employment, probation and community services. Enhanced DBS checks apply.

Competenze

• Experience supporting people with substance misuse or complex needs.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with service users.
• Confident delivering structured interventions and facilitating group work.
• Understanding safeguarding, risk management and multi‑agency working.

Mansioni

• Manage a caseload of service users with 1:1 interventions and group sessions.
• Complete assessments, risk management plans and personalised care plans.
• Deliver drug and alcohol interventions using harm reduction and abstinence-based approaches.
• Provide motivation and support to help service users achieve recovery goals.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and partner agencies including housing, employment and probation.
• Support service users to access additional services and build positive pathways beyond treatment.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to service outcomes and performance targets.
