TEXO Recruitment are recruiting for a Large Format Print Production Manager for our external client in Cramlington. A hands-on, senior production role overseeing day-to-day operations across large-format, digital, POS, display or commercial print.

The role requires managing production schedules, leading a team, and driving quality, safety and efficiency across the department.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in high-volume print environments.
• Strong scheduling and workflow management capabilities.
• Knowledge of substrates (paper, board, corrugated, rigid materials).
• Experience with digital, large-format, POS, display or commercial print.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily and weekly production schedules and priorities.
• Allocate operators, machinery and shifts according to workload.
• Monitor production output, productivity and machine performance.
• Identify and resolve potential delays and production issues.
• Manage and develop the production team.
• Coordinate with estimating, customer service, studio, finishing and logistics teams.
• Monitor quality, reprints, waste and production costs.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and machine checks are completed.
• Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production records and reporting.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed.
• Monitor KPIs including on-time production, machine utilisation, waste and labour productivity.
• Lead daily production meetings and escalate risks to deadlines.

Large Format Print Production Manager – CRAMLINGTON

TEXO Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Large Format Print Production Manager for our external client based in Cramlington.

This is a full-time, permanent position for an experienced production professional with a strong background in large-format, digital, POS, display or commercial print.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the production department, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on time and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily and weekly production schedules and priorities
• Allocate operators, machinery and shifts according to workload
• Monitor production output, productivity and machine performance
• Identify and resolve potential delays and production issues
• Manage and develop the production team
• Coordinate with estimating, customer service, studio, finishing and logistics teams
• Monitor quality, reprints, waste and production costs
• Ensure preventative maintenance and machine checks are completed
• Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions
• Maintain accurate production records and reporting
• Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are followed
• Monitor key production KPIs including on-time production, machine utilisation, waste, downtime and labour productivity
• Lead daily production meetings and ensure any risks to deadlines are escalated promptly

About You:

• Previous experience in a production management or supervisory role
• Strong experience within large-format, digital, POS, display or commercial print
• Good understanding of digital print production and print quality
• Experience managing multiple machines and production operators
• Strong scheduling and workflow management skills
• Knowledge of substrates including paper, board, corrugated and rigid materials
• Experience using MIS or production management systems
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
• Commercially aware with a focus on productivity and cost control
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance and Health & Safety
• Experience within POS, retail display, FSDU or high-volume large-format production would be advantageous

This is a hands-on management role suited to someone who can take ownership of production performance, lead a team effectively and drive continuous improvement across the department.
