Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a Process Principal Design Engineer for the Water Sector, based across multiple UK locations including Warrington and others. You will lead the discipline design team, ensure compliance with project standards, and drive innovative, buildable designs for water and wastewater schemes.

You will provide technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with clients and suppliers to optimise outcomes while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status preferred with recognised professional body.
• Experience in water/wastewater design and contracting environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical compliance and excellence on projects and approve design outputs.
• Drive efficient designs balancing capital and operational costs.
• Provide technical guidance and governance across design activities.
• Support CDM compliance as Principal Designer Lead.
• Oversee design for buildability, safe construction and operation.
