Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer for Cowes on a six-month, onsite contract. You will lead systems engineering efforts on advanced radar projects, analyze performance data, and guide design evolutions to meet evolving requirements.

You will oversee trade-off analyses, influence architecture decisions, and mentor teams while applying ISO standards and DOORS Next for lifecycle governance. This role emphasizes technical leadership and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Systems Engineering with holistic problem solving.
• Familiar with design and development standards (ISO 15288, ISO 24641).
• Experience in requirements and configuration management.
• Experience leading large, complex system designs.
• Knowledge of lifecycle models (Waterfall, Agile) and related tools (JIRA).
• Strong presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Good IT literacy and professional accreditation track (CSEP).

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions for evolving phased array Radar systems.
• Perform system design analyses to optimise key parameters.
• Provide lead technical support for radar product evolution and new developments.
