Job summary

Systems Engineering and Assessment Limited seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to lead design, development and support of our advanced naval and defence products. Based at Beckington, Bristol or Barnstaple with weekly visits to Barnstaple, you will guide multi-disciplinary teams and drive requirements and technical inputs throughout the lifecycle.

The role offers flexible working with a salary up to £80k depending on experience, and opportunities to impact global naval systems across locations.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant engineering discipline.
• Extensive Systems Engineering knowledge and experience in the engineering lifecycle.
• DOORS and MBSE experience.
• Defence or aerospace experience would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership of defined work packages.
• Lead and mentor project team members.
• Manage requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Provide technical inputs to bidding activities.
• Support integration and production qualification activities.

You will take responsibility for the technical leadership during the design and development and support of our products. Taking the lead in part of a multi-disciplined team. Principal Systems Engineer can be based out of either our Beckington, Bristol or Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working with a weekly visit to Barnstaple being required. The salary for this role is up to £80k, depending on experience.

Theskills you need

• Degree in relevant engineering discipline
• Extensive Systems Engineering Knowledge and experience of working within the Engineering Lifecycle and engineering / technical leadership
• DOORS and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
• Defence or Aerospace experience would be highly desirable
