Job summary

SEA is seeking a Principal PLM Engineer to lead PLM strategy, architecture, governance and continuous improvement across our PLM environment. Based at Barnstaple, Bristol or Beckington with hybrid/flexible working, the role covers rollout, testing, training, and reporting, shaping the PLM roadmap.

You will leverage significant PLM experience, ARAS Innovator knowledge, and strong systems integration skills to deliver enterprise PLM solutions in a manufacturing context.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience with enterprise PLM platforms and engineering data management solutions.
  • Deep understanding of product lifecycle processes, configuration management, engineering change control, and product data governance.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting PLM solutions in manufacturing, engineering, or product development environments.
  • Strong knowledge of systems integration principles and enterprise architecture.
  • Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Knowledge of ARAS Innovator PLM System.
  • Development skills using Visual Basic or C# .SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage PLM configurations and governance.
  • Support PLM rollout and testing of the PLM system.
  • Train end users on the PLM system and create deployment packages.
  • Provide SME administration for the system and develop business reports.
  • Shape the future PLM roadmap and advise on strategy.

About The Role

As the technical authority and subject matter expert for the organisation's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment, you will be responsible for defining the strategic direction, architecture, governance, and continuous improvement of PLM capabilities. Principal PLM Engineer will be based at either our Barnstaple, Bristol or Beckington sites. This role allows for flexible working. The salary for this role is up to 50k, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
  • PLM Configuration Management Process
  • Supporting PLM Rollout
  • Testing PLM system
  • Training end users on the PLM System
  • Configuring the PLM system to suit business needs
  • Create packages for deployment
  • Provide SME administration for the system
  • Development of business reports from within the system
  • Providing advice and support to help shape the future PLM roadmap
  • Monitor, balance
  • Division Functional industry trends and emerging technologies to inform future PLM strategy

The skills you need
  • Significant experience working with enterprise PLM platforms and engineering data management solutions
