Job summary

Progresso Search client, a leading independent UK building consultancy, seeks a Chartered Structural Engineer to lead the Structural Engineering team and deliver high-quality technical advice. You will manage complex projects from inception to completion and mentor junior engineers.

Based in the UK, the role requires office/onsite presence with a few days from home, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to provide innovative, technically excellent solutions for new-build, refurbishment

Qualifications

Chartered structural engineer with MIStructE or MICE credentials.
Proven track record leading complex structural projects.
Strong skills in structural remediation and investigations.
Experience across both new-build and refurbishment projects.
Solid grasp of structural analysis principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Commercial awareness and client-facing abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage complex structural engineering projects from instruction to completion.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
Undertake structural assessments, investigations and technical reviews.
Deliver holistic structural engineering consultancy for clients.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and graduates.
Produce high-quality technical reports and engineering advice.
Represent the client through presentations and industry events.
Support business development by promoting in-house technical expertise.
