Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to establish and grow a Nottingham-based team within our Midlands Buildings Structures practice. The role involves leading design from concept to construction, delivering sustainable and compliant solutions, and building client relationships across the region.

You will initially support the Birmingham team one day per week while setting up a Nottingham presence, with progression to a dedicated Nottingham team leader

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status and professional recognition (CEng/MIStructE or MICE).
• Experience delivering building structures projects from concept to construction.
• Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of building structures projects from concept to construction.
• Provide technical leadership across the Midlands team and beyond.
• Establish and grow the Nottingham structural engineering capability.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to regional business growth.
