Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Civil or Structural Engineer with Chartered status (CEng) or equivalent.
• Extensive experience leading structural projects in major infrastructure or regulated environments.
• Strong design substantiation and safety assurance knowledge for safety-critical industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and substantiation of RC, steel and civil infrastructure for major programs.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight to structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, mechanical, electrical, process, construction and safety disciplines.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, regulatory requirements and governance.
• Lead structural assessments under normal, construction, environmental and extreme loading conditions including seismic events.
• Author, review and approve technical reports and design substantiations for regulatory submissions and design assurance.
• Engage with clients, regulators and independent reviewers to resolve technical queries and challenges.
• Promote safe, sustainable and constructible design solutions in line with CDM 2015.
