Job summary

Capgemini UK is seeking a Civil/Structural engineer to deliver structural analysis, design and assessment for reinforced concrete, steel and civil infrastructure within the GBE-N programme.

You will produce and review calculations, models, drawings, specifications and technical reports, and support design substantiation to meet project and governance requirements while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, working towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience in the analysis and design of reinforced concrete, steel, and civil engineering structures.
• Strong knowledge of UK and international design codes, structural behaviour under complex loading conditions.
• Proficient in structural analysis software and digital engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural analysis, design, and assessments for RC, steel, and civil projects.
• Produce and review calculations, models, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Support design substantiation and technical documentation to meet project and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
• Undertake assessments for normal, construction, environmental, and extreme loading conditions, including seismic loading where required.
• Participate in design reviews, technical assurance activities, and resolution of engineering queries.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, quality requirements, and CDM 2015 obligations.
• Support continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and mentoring of graduate and early-career engineers.
