Job summary

RoC Consulting, part of RSK LDE, in Manchester, seeks a Principal Structural Engineer to lead design calculations across common materials and manage small projects from inception to completion.

You will supervise junior engineers, collaborate with the design team, and ensure high-quality production information while adhering to health and safety requirements and CDM design risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC qualification required.
• Chartered status with the Institution of Structural Engineers (or equivalent) preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Demonstrable experience as a Principal Structural Engineer in a consultancy setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception to completion and deliver on programmes.
• Understand project scope and commercial requirements, reporting variations.
• Collaborate with design team members to meet project objectives.
• Ensure the quality and timeliness of production information for projects.
• Review work produced by juniors/technicians and supervise CDM design risk assessments.
