Job summary
Amplitude is seeking a Principal Solutions Engineer for the UK to act as the technical quarterback on strategic opportunities. You will translate capabilities into business outcomes, lead discovery, and architect proof-of-concept implementations that prove value against the prospect's data and use cases.

Qualifications
- Experience in software pre-sales at principal level (Solutions Engineering, Sales Consulting, or Technical Account Management).
- Experience in product analytics, experimentation or customer data platform space.
- Familiarity with MEDDICC / MEDDPICC or similar sales methodologies.
- Ability to discuss nuanced technical concepts such as LLMs, Agentic Software Development, Data Architecture, APIs / SDKs.
- Track record of closing technical evaluations in enterprise deals.
- Comfort presenting technical concepts to engineers and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical evaluation phases for deals ranging from 100K to 1M+ ARR.
- Design and execute hands-on proof-of-concepts based on prospect data and use cases.
- Translate product capabilities into ROI narratives for C‑level stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Product to align requirements and velocity.
- Mentor junior engineers on technical positioning and demonstrations.
