Job summary

Accenture Manchester is seeking a Principal Software Engineer with strong leadership to drive backend services and cloud-native solutions across UK client projects. The role requires hands-on engineering as well as client and team leadership, with frequent travel to client sites across the UK.

You will work on modern tech stacks, collaborate across disciplines, and mentor engineers while delivering high-impact software solutions for a diverse client base.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams and growing engineers.
• Experience building backend services across integration paradigms (synchronous, message-driven, event-driven).
• Fluent in Java / C# / Python / TypeScript or React.
• Cloud-native apps on AWS and/or Azure.
• DevOps practices and automated testing experience.
• Ability to guide products/services using Agentic AI capabilities (certification a plus).
• Willingness to travel to client sites across the UK.
