Job summary

Accenture Leeds is seeking a Principal Software Engineer who will lead teams, shape delivery across client projects, and drive high-quality engineering outcomes. The role requires hands-on expertise in backend services and cloud-native architectures across AWS/Azure, with strong stakeholder engagement and a track record of guidance in agile environments.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading teams and growing the careers of team members.
• Building relationships with stakeholders who expect to see results.
• Years building backend services in multiple integration paradigms (synchronous API-driven, message-driven, event-driven).
• Fluent in Java, C#, Python, TypeScript or React.
• Experience building, deploying and running cloud-native apps on AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience defining strategies and delivering products/services using Agentic AI (certification optional).
• Experience in DevOps environments with industry practices.
• Experience producing repeatable, automated tests for your work.
• Enjoy collaborating and solving problems in an egoless, team-focused way.
• Adaptable to changing roles and stacks to meet client outcomes.
