Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Manchester. You will lead complex backend engineering efforts, work with clients across industries, and travel to client sites throughout the UK on an ad hoc basis.

You will mentor teams, shape technical strategy, and ensure delivery excellence in a fast-paced consulting environment. The role requires strong leadership, cloud and DevOps expertise, and a passion for building scalable digital products.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams and growing careers of team members.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and deliver results.
• Experience building and running backend services across integration paradigms.
• Fluent in Java/C#/Python/Typescript or React.
• Experience deploying cloud-native apps on AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience defining strategies and delivering products/services using AI (optional).
• Experience in DevOps and automated testing.
