Job summary

easyJet is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the eCommerce Platform Delivery team. You will guide multiple squads, drive architectural choices, and ensure secure, scalable, high-performance systems.

A strong focus on data integrity, observability, and modern architectures will accelerate customer-facing features and platform resilience. You will partner with Product Managers, Agile Delivery Managers, and Enterprise Architects to uphold engineering standards, mentor junior engineers,

Qualifications

Senior engineering leadership across multiple squads with a strong focus on scalable platforms.
Proven track record delivering secure, high-performance systems in ecommerce or cloud environments.
Deep knowledge of data architectures and modern design patterns.

Responsibilities

Own the Mission technical vision, strategy, and roadmap across several squads.
Lead design, architecture, and development of scalable, reliable software systems.
Champion data integrity and performance, ensuring scalability and resilience.
Oversee code quality, reviews, and adherence to engineering standards.
Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement across teams.
Collaborate with product managers and architects to align strategy and execution.
