Job summary

easyJet Airline Company PLC is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead engineers across multiple squads within a Mission, driving healthy team cultures and high performance. You’ll partner with Product and Mission Leads to deliver sustainable outcomes and improve engineering practices at scale.

You’ll coach Engineering Leads and Senior Engineers, build strong relationships, and help shape how technology teams operate within easyJet’s hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineers across multiple teams in a modern software engineering environment.
• Strong track record of developing people and healthy team cultures.
• Ability to influence decisions and build trusted relationships across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Engineering Leads and Senior Engineers across multiple squads.
• Establish effective ways of working to support engagement and retention.
• Remove obstacles, protect team focus and manage delivery risks.
• Raise engineering standards and improve technical practices across software delivery.
• Attract and hire engineers and develop future engineering leaders.
