easyJet Airline Company PLC is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead cross‑squad initiatives within the eCommerce Platform Delivery team. You will shape technical strategy, drive architecture, and ensure high performance, security, and reliability across customer-facing features.

The role requires deep cloud experience (AWS), strong SQL/data modelling skills, and a proven track record in event-driven architectures.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading complex software projects.
• Deep knowledge of SQL, data modelling, and performance tuning.
• Proven cloud/commerce tech experience, including AWS.

Responsibilities

• Own the Mission technical vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Lead design, architecture, and development of scalable, reliable software systems.
• Champion data integrity, performance, and operational resilience.
• Ensure code quality and conduct reviews across squads.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to raise capability.
• Stay informed of industry trends and apply insights to improve platform capabilities.
