Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to help transform digital banking for Chase UK. You will work in a distributed, diverse team focused on delivering scalable, secure, consumer-facing features with high availability and low latency.

You will lead complex coding frameworks, apply enterprise AI-assisted development practices, and partner with Product, Design, and Compliance to ship customer-centric solutions in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Expert proficiency in one or more programming languages.
Experience launching and scaling consumer-facing financial products in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design frameworks.
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
Architects and governs agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale.
Applies knowledge of tools within the SDLC toolchain to improve automation and value.
Leads design and delivery of consumer-facing financial product features with high availability and low latency.
