Job summary

Tencent Cloud is hiring a senior solutions professional in London to work with customers and partners, advising on product capabilities and security. You will collaborate with engineers and sales, identify opportunities, and drive adoption across regions while helping teams apply best practices.

You will contribute to cloud security initiatives, design effective solutions, and mentor internal teams and external partners on Tencent Cloud knowledge. Travel about 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships with customers and stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Chinese for HQ communications with China.
• Customer-facing IT industry experience, e.g., Solutions Engineer/Architect or PM.
• Familiarity with cloud security, CDN, security event management, and site performance.
• Knowledge of project management concepts and techniques.
• Experience with web development concepts, IT systems, or security practices.
• Strong understanding of internet concepts and network protocols (IP, DNS, HTTP, TCP).
• Willingness to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Drive Tencent Cloud adoption by presenting product-specific solutions.

Requirements

• We require 8+ years of relevant experience and a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field, or equivalent experience.
• We require excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
• We require fluency in both English and Chinese to communicate with our HQ in China.
• We require customer-facing experience in the information technology industry, preferably as a Solution Engineer/Architect, Product Specialist, or Technical Project Manager.
• We require familiarity with cloud security and content delivery technology, processes, and concepts, including security event management, compliance, and site performance.
• We require knowledge of project management concepts and techniques.
• We require some knowledge of implementation concepts related to web development, IT systems, or security practices.
• We require a strong understanding of how the internet works, including network protocols such as IP, DNS, routing, HTTP, TCP, or web architecture.
• We require the ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• We analyze customer needs and requirements with our Engineers and Sales team to design and propose the best matching product capabilities.
• We identify business opportunities by leveraging our products, present solutions, demonstrate value, and support customer satisfaction.
• We drive Tencent Cloud product adoption by identifying customer needs and presenting product‑specific solutions.
• We guide, train, and enable internal business teams and external partners on Tencent Cloud product knowledge and best practices.
• We track, monitor, and lead efforts to resolve customer issues related to Tencent Cloud security and performance products.
• We work with global team members on international customer initiatives and projects and engage effectively with stakeholders across locations.
• We plan and organize programs across multiple technical teams and geographic regions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Tencent Cloud services.
• We create clarity in requirements, build relationships with partner teams, embrace agility, and design features that support business objectives.
• We identify, assess, and mitigate risks arising from various situations, including cross‑team dependencies.
• We work with engineering teams to implement new or updated tools that support team or business processes.
• We lead POC projects, implementation efforts, and other initiatives that improve customer satisfaction and product efficiency.
