Location - Hybrid; 1-2 days per week in our Bristol HQ & client visits once a month (max) in Oxford

Role Type - Permanent (open to Contract/Freelance)

Salary - £85,000-£100,000/year (DOE)

A bit about the role...
We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader to design and build an inventory analytics solution on an existing Snowflake data platform . This role involves solution design, requirements gathering, and leading a growing team of data engineers to create a world-class data-driven inventory system.

What you'll be doing...

1. Designing an inventory analytics solution for logistics optimisation
2. Gathering requirements and working closely with stakeholders to shape the data strategy
3. Leading and managing a team of data engineers (starting with 1 but will grow over time)
4. Working with SAP data extractors (including BW extractors and CDS views) to integrate data into Snowflake.
5. Building dashboards in Power BI (not just visualisation, but data modelling and extraction too)
6. Ensuring seamless integration between SAP, Snowflake, and other data sources

What you'll need to succeed...

1. Extensive experience in SAP inventory management & analytics
2. A functional understanding of SAP Material Management and experience with SAP Logistics Analytics.
3. Strong expertise in Snowflake (or similar platforms like Redshift/BigQuery)
4. A deep understanding of SAP BW extractors and CDS views
5. Hands-on Power BI experience (data modelling, extraction, dashboarding)
6. Experience leading a small data team
7. Knowledge of ETL tools like Matillion or Informatica is a bonus
