We are looking for a Principal Safety Engineer. This is your chance to join a leading IT consultancy, specialising in supporting the Defence and Aerospace sectors. Heavily embedded in supporting both the UK and US governments across designing and implementing next-generation solutions.

What You Can Expect

• Location – London (Hybrid)
• Salary – £95,000

Main Responsibilities as a Principal Safety Engineer

• Conducting safety analysis activities such as Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs)
• Developing safety requirements for the system to ensure alignment with the customer’s safety objectives
• Collaborating within cross-functional teams to uphold NG’s reputation by delivering high-quality, well-justified outputs

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in delivering and communicating Systems Safety within the UK Defence sector, with a degree, HND, or HNC in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in Systems Safety Engineering.
• Strong experience with EC 61508 and Def Stan 00-056.
• Hands-on experience with safety/reliability analysis methods, including hazard identification, FMECA, FTA, and Functional Failure Analysis.
