Job summary

Platform Recruitment is seeking a Principal RF Engineer for a well-established mmWave company in Cambridgeshire. The role focuses on hands-on circuit and system design at 60GHz+ and guiding the team from concept to production.

You will lead RF block design, perform simulations, assess link budgets, and mentor other engineers while collaborating with systems, mechanical and production teams to deliver robust, field-ready products.

Qualifications

• Extensive RF circuit and system design experience at mmWave frequencies.
• Hands-on with RF lab equipment and measurement techniques.
• Experience taking products from concept to production.
• Degree in Electronic Engineering (PhD welcome).

Responsibilities

• Lead RF circuit and system design for mmWave products.
• Design and simulate RF building blocks: amplifiers, mixers, filters and transitions.
• Own RF system architecture, link budgets and cascade analysis.
• Take designs from simulation through prototype, test and production.
• Carry out lab characterisation at mmWave frequencies.
• Collaborate with systems, mechanical and production teams; mentor others.
