Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting for a Principal Telecoms Engineer to join a growing in-house rail design team in the York area, with Warrington or Cumbernauld considered. The role offers senior leadership across telecoms design, with a hybrid pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Ideal candidates will be experienced with station telecoms systems (CCTV, PA/LLPA, CIS) and have a track record in rail telecoms design, client management and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have strong telecoms design experience for rail projects.
• Must understand station CCTV, PA/LLPA and CIS systems.
• Must demonstrate leadership and client/stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across telecoms design.
• Support development of in-house rail design team.
• Engage with clients and senior stakeholders to scope and price work.
