Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking a Principal Process Design Engineer to lead innovative and sustainable process solutions for water and wastewater projects across the UK. The role combines technical leadership with strategic input into bids, design governance and delivery optimisation.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with discipline leads and clients, and ensure governance, safety and quality across delivery, bids and operations from concept to detailed design.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in process design for water/wastewater projects.
• Experience leading technical teams across multidisciplinary groups.
• Strong governance, safety and quality awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of complex process engineering solutions for water/wastewater projects.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop innovative, practical process solutions with risk balance.
• Ensure designs are safe, compliant and operationally efficient.
• Produce and review process calculations, PFDs, P&IDs and design documentation.
• Support major bids and contribute to delivery strategies.
• Act as technical reviewer and uphold engineering governance.
• Manage technical delivery from briefs to delivery within cost, time and quality constraints.
• Identify and manage technical risks and coordinate with clients and regulators.
• Mentor engineers and promote a culture of improvement and customer focus.
