Job Description:

We're looking for an experienced and highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Due to increased workload, we are seeking experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineers to work across all areas of the Product Life Cycles, from Mechanical Future Concepts, Detailed Design, and Qualification to Production and In-service Support. You will lead the development of mechanical solutions on a variety of complex weapons and weapon systems while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

What we're looking for:

• Degree/HND/HNC qualification plus significant experience in Mechanical Design and Development.
• Ability to lead mechanical design work packages within a multi-disciplinary team, understanding associated challenges.
• Awareness of proving and qualification activities to ensure compliance.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
• Experience engaging with and developing suppliers within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Understanding of cultural differences and adaptability.
• A helpful attitude, professional manner, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues.
• Knowledge of structural, thermal, or dynamic analysis is advantageous.
• Relevant 3D CAD/CAE experience (training on preferred CAE tools will be provided).
