Job summary

Ofcom in London is seeking a Principal to establish a professional support function within the Legal & Enforcement Group. You will lead the training programme for the legal team, develop systems to share know-how, and support lawyers across offices and practice areas.

You will coordinate with policy, economics and technology colleagues, create templates and checklists, and oversee external training and access to legal research platforms. The role can be full‑time or part‑time.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Leading the training programme for the legal team, including identifying training needs and coordinating delivery.
• Establishing systems to co-ordinate legal know-how across the team.
• Supporting colleagues’ professional development and awareness of legal developments.
• Identifying ways to increase efficiency and overseeing templates, checklists and resources.
• Communicating with counterparts in other UK regulators' legal teams.
• Building initiatives exploring legal tech and AI for research and knowledge management.
• Managing relationships with providers of legal research platforms.
