Job summary

Gravitas Group is seeking a Principal JavaScript Recruiter to own and grow a well-established JavaScript recruitment market from our London desk. You will build and nurture client relationships, recruit across the JavaScript ecosystem, and leverage Gravitas’ global platform to accelerate revenue and career development.

You’ll operate autonomously within a collaborative culture, developing your personal brand while benefiting from an international recruitment business backing your market efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' 360 recruitment experience.
• Experience recruiting within Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely aligned sector.
• Strong track record of developing client relationships and generating revenue.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a well-established JavaScript recruitment market.
• Build long-term partnerships with clients across the Software Engineering landscape.
• Develop relationships with Engineering Managers, Heads of Engineering, CTOs, Technical Leads and senior technology leaders.
• Recruit across the JavaScript ecosystem: Engineers, React & Node.js Developers, Full Stack Engineers, Front End Engineers, TypeScript Developers, Engineering Managers, Technical Leads and Architects.
• Manage and expand existing customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with high-performing recruiters across Gravitas' Technology division and share knowledge.

The JavaScript market has long been one of Gravitas' strongest Software Engineering specialisms.

We're looking for someone to take ownership of this established desk and continue its success while bringing their own ideas, personality, and approach to the market.

This is not a role where you'll be expected to start from scratch.

The desk has been built and developed by some of Gravitas' highest-performing consultants and has consistently been one of the strongest performers within our Technology division.

You'll have the freedom to make decisions, grow relationships your way, and build your personal brand within the JavaScript market, while benefiting from the backing of an internationally recognised recruitment business.

Alongside the existing desk, you'll be able to leverage over 16 years of Software Engineering client relationships built across Gravitas. This gives you immediate access to an extensive network of technology leaders, hiring managers, and established customers who already trust our brand.

It's a rare opportunity to combine the security of an established market with the autonomy usually associated with building something from the ground up.

What You'll Be Doing

• Taking ownership of a well-established JavaScript recruitment market.
• Building long-term partnerships with clients across the Software Engineering landscape.
• Developing relationships with Engineering Managers, Heads of Engineering, CTOs, Technical Leads, and senior technology leaders.
• Recruiting across the JavaScript ecosystem, including:
  • JavaScript Engineers
  • React Developers
  • Node.js Developers
  • Full Stack Engineers
  • Front End Engineers
  • TypeScript Developers
  • Engineering Managers
  • Technical Leads and Architects
• Managing and expanding existing customer relationships.
• Identifying new business opportunities and growing your market.
• Collaborating with high-performing recruiters across the wider Technology division.
• Sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and contributing to Gravitas' collaborative culture.
• Establishing yourself as a recognised expert within the JavaScript community.
