Job summary

Ofwat is seeking a Water Resources Planning Lead to join the Water Supply team. Based in Birmingham or London with hybrid working arrangements, you will lead national water resources policy development, alignment with WRMP24/WRMP29, and engagement with regulators and government bodies.

You will manage a technical team, ensure delivery of statutory duties, and collaborate across regulatory frameworks to improve water resource management for customers and the environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in water resources planning and related frameworks.
• Knowledge of environmental issues in the water sector.
• Experience in policy development and programme delivery.
• Strong numerical skills with complex analysis and evidence-based recommendations.
• Experience building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication for policy making.

Responsibilities

• Lead national water resources policy development and investment planning.
• Engage with regulators and government bodies; coordinate PR24/PR29 work.
